Pol Light Moment #144 occurred on October 20, 2016, when the two people running for President of the United States shared the stage to support Catholic charities and disadvantaged children. Secretary Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were joint keynote speakers at the 71st Annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in New York, held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Alfred E. The 2016 rendition of this longstanding dinner raised about $6 million for Catholic charities (CBSNews.com, October 21, 2016).
